"Your book is amazing and arranges the Bible in such an organized fashion that a reader's entire viewpoint on the Bible changes after one reading[...] Your book honors and respects those people named in the Bible and it is a book that belongs in the home of every religious and secular reader worldwide. It can be read over and over with each reading bringing more honor to those in the Bible who preceeded us in this world..."

"Fascinating and Educating"- Chris Beck, September 15, 2013

"I have always been fascinated by the Bible and the historical period it describes and Ravid's book was a wonderful read that fit me perfectly.

The book is full of interesting descriptions on the lives of the people in the biblical era. In addition, her explanations of word-plays that were previously unknown to me (as a non-Hebrew speaker) were truly wonderful..."

"A unique perspective on the Bible" - 'BookHimDan' Amazon Review, October 13, 2013

"[...] There are so many highlights in this book, that I cannot cover them all in a short review, but I would like to point out that Dr. Ravid's captivating writing style makes the book a joy to read. Like a good novel, once you pick it up, it's hard to put down. It's a real page-turner!"

"Great Reading" - Ron Arad, September 8, 2013

"I read the book Daily Life in Biblical Times both in the language of the Bible (Hebrew) and in English and enjoyed it very much. The old heroes as Abraham, Sarah, King David and many others became alive again. They were acting in a human and sensible way and not as vague religious figures. Dr Ravid shares her vast knowledge (which is amazing) with the reader and teaches the Biblical stories from a unique and interesting point of view...."

"I enjoy reading well-researched objective books dealing with Biblical material and this book does exactly that. Ravid researched our patriarchs and matriarchs and other beloved Biblical figures from the Hebrew scriptures peeling away the folklore we have all been taught. [...] I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and would love seeing the author tackle other topics."

"Ravid is a PhD. in biblical studies and a native Israeli who is proficient in biblical Hebrew. She parses out the grammar and double entendres found in the original Hebrew for us as we go through the Genesis stories of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and his sons, as well as Ruth and Naomi, and David and Absalom. [...] I learned a lot from this book, especially about levirate law and its applications to women at these various times and places."

"A Wonderful Book" - Dvora B., September 17, 2013

"I read Dr. Ravid’s book in the holy language (Hebrew) in which it is originally written and I am really happy that it was translated into English, allowing the world to enjoy it as much as I did. I must admit, although Bible was not one of my favorite subjects at school, I couldn’t leave Dr. Ravid’s book off my hands and read it like a suspense novel..."
